General information on our Blanks:
Our blanks have been designed and handcrafted, with the use of 2 types of high modulus carbon fibers and a low content of epoxy resins. To obtain pleasant blanks in the fishing action and which can facilitate the casting phases, we have opted for a progressive parabolic action rather than a fast action, which must be accompanied by the ability to adequately load energy into the blank to obtain good results in terms of distance. It is often believed that it is sufficient to have a rod with fast or super fast action to obtain long casts, but many soon realize the mistake they made in purchasing, realizing that greater distances were previously achieved with a less extreme action, as incapable of evaluating or handling the right ballast, which is essential for storing the right energy to best express the barrel's capabilities. To achieve the right rigidity of our blank, we played on the elastic modulus of the two components of the blank, choosing a modulus of 40T (HR40 - 1.82 density) +30T (MR60 – 1.81 density). The management of the action of our stems is different, which is obtained not by modifying the elastic modulus in percentage, but by varying the sections of the stem in the right points to guarantee the required action, i.e., progressive parabolic. The power of our rods, measured in pounds, varies depending on the models, and can be 3.25 – 3.5 – 3.75lb. Since the carbon fibers are ANISOTROPIC, i.e. with mechanical characteristics that have a privileged direction, all our rods are rigorously assembled in plug. The carbon fiber used is of the POLYACRYLONITRILE type, which after being worked on steel mandrels, is dried in an autoclave and not in an oven, to guarantee almost absolute precision between the various barrels. We can say, in our opinion, that we have obtained blanks with good technical characteristics, managing to contain the cost, guaranteeing good performance in most fishing situations and giving excellent sensations when fighting the fish.
